Geographic​al Indication Regulation​s 2000 (Amendment 2013)

The Geographical Indication Regulations 2000 (Amendment 2013) was amended on 15th July 2013. A notice was issued by the Registrar of Geographical Indications to include provisions regarding eligibility, enrolment and renewal of geographical agent; renewal of registered geographical indications; and reinstatement of registered geographical indications. Hence, IP practitioners interested in providing service as geographical indication agent will have to be registered with the Registry as an agent. Forms and fees involved is also updated.
